Chapter 4: WHY ARE YOU IN JAIL? 

Our purpose is to collectively define the ideals behind being "People Centric." We aim to share best practices and learn from each other as to how best we, as leaders, can become a catalyst in the lives of the people we serve. 
 
Read Chapter 4, think through your answers, then discuss them with your leadership team. We ask you to share a summary of your thoughts and insights.  Our goal is to create a learning environment where we can all benefit from each other’s perspectives.

 a. What has John learned about his own purpose from his father's attitude toward his disease?
 b. What does this teach us about the choices we can make in our own lives?   

2. John shares his story about speaking in a prison. He shares about two different inmates who chose to share their stories (pages 119-123). 
 a. Have you ever felt like the first inmate and what did you learn from it? 
 b. Have you ever looked at life in the same manner as the second inmate? If yes, what was the outcome?
